Run mobile Lighthouse audits from the WordPress Media page.

The WordPress plugin can queue a mobile PageSpeed Insights audit for your site from the Media screen. Results help you validate changes to warming, Managed CDN assets, Critical CSS, and image optimization.

INFO: Starter and above

PageSpeed scores are included from Starter upward, with a daily audit cap that increases on Pro and Business.

Run an audit

  1. Enable PageSpeed tools — In Media, unlock PageSpeed if your plan includes it.
  2. Click Run mobile PageSpeed — The plugin queues an audit for the site home URL via Cache Rocket.
  3. Review scores and metrics — Use lab results (performance and related metrics) to prioritize fixes.

WARNING: Lab data ≠ field data

Treat Insights as a diagnostic. Search Console / CrUX field data remains the source of truth for real-user Core Web Vitals.

Common questions

Do audits upload assets to Managed CDN?

No. PageSpeed audits measure; they do not publish optimized assets.

What happens when I hit the daily cap?

New audits wait until the next day or until you upgrade to a higher daily allowance.

Can I run desktop audits?

The Media action queues the mobile PageSpeed flow documented in the plugin.
